SYNOPSIS:
This study of history is framed on the role of the sea in the historical development of the Visayas region. For 15 years, the author examined the role of the bodies of water surrounding the islands as part of the historical discourse. The bodies of water and its islands are seen as a vista in which the events that happened in the islands are situated with what occured in the national popular historical tradition.
